One of the first office buildings in Wisconsin, built in the early 1830's as the law office of Henry S. Baird (1800-1875), "Father of the Wisconsin Bar" and first practicing attorney west of Lake Michigan.

Later moved and remodeled as a residence, the tiny structure was transferred to the county courthouse grounds in 1953, restored and opened as an historical shrine in 1955 Brought to this location in 1960.
