The line of 1736 was checked in 1746 by a survey on which Peter Jefferson, father of Thomas Jefferson, was engaged. West Virginia Historic Commission, 1964 US 219, north of Thomas, one mile south of County Route 9 (Kempton Road) and one mile north of junction with WV 90 Tucker County West Virginia
