Ferrum College was established by the Virginia Conference of the Methodist Church in 1913 through the influence of its woman’s society of christian service. It became a junior college exclusively in 1955 after years of service in secondary education. Virginia 1988 U.S. Route 220 at the Blackwater Wayside south of Route 635. Franklin County Virginia.
