THE DEWITT AND FRANCIS PERRY HOME
at the A. W. Perry Homestead
Alexander and Sarah Perry and children were one of many families who migrated from Greene County, Illinois to claim land in Dallas County. This property once faced the main road from Dallas to Denton and was a well known hospitality stop to water horses. The house features tall ceilings, wide windows, and a corner fireplace. The house was built by local craftsmen. The property was restored by the efforts of the Carrollton Bicentennial Commission in 1976.
