Golden Plough Tavern


A rare example of early Germanic, half-timber archiecture, the building was originally constructued by Martin Eichelberger during the earliest days of Yorktown settlement (c. 1741). It serverd as a tavern during colonial times & long thereafter.
West Market Street, just East of Pershing Avenue, York. York County Pennsylvania.
