Unfortunately, personal and professional tragedy is a very real part of law enforcement.... Every officer, regardless of rank, age, sex, size of department or any other factor could be called on at any time to give the ultimate sacrifice.

Every officer knows the potential dangers, yet willingly takes that chance every time they report for duty.
