EARLY EDUCATION IN ST. PETERS
This St. Peters District 31 Public School was built in 1869. About the same time, a new brick building replaced the old log school at All Saints Church on the hill. Public school classes continued here until 1951 when Dist. 31 became part of Fort Zumwalt consolidation.
Log constructed city jail located on S. E. corner of lot in early years.
