The wagon was exceedingly important equipment on any farm to haul crops, firewood and to haul chickens, hogs, or eggs to market. It also served as transportation to town or to go visiting.
The wagon box could be removed and then used to haul logs, or additional sideboards added for hauling bulky crops, such as corn or cotton.
