"...Mr. James G. Human, who thought enough to stay here when there wasn't anything here, with his courage and faith he got our town started. It was his courage and faith that brought others here. We are the only town in the world by the name Humansville..." Mary Owens "Humansville"
Humansville, Missouri, is a little country town; Unique, in fact it could be a burg, of high renown After searching out the Atlas, truthfully, we can say; It has no "twin city" in the good old U.S.A. There's Knoxville, Rockville, Nashville, and villes of every kind; Ours is a ville of Humans, the only one you will find. We like the sound of Human, it holds the human touch; For this is the affection, today's world, needs so much. There is just no other place, if you search everywhere; You have such good pure water; or so much clean fresh air, Thank You, Judge J. Human, for finding our Big Spring; And lendind us your name, it has such a friendly ring." -- Bess Crank Nunn The Town of Humansville. Ohio St. & Tilden St., community center lawn, Humansville, Polk County Missouri
