The JAMES MANSION, or "Dunmoor", was constructed circa 1866 for the William James family. This three story brick residence was later renovated to serve as the Women's Relief Corp Soldiers Home and opened for veteran's of the Civil War on November 1, 1896. The Building was demolished in 1966 to make way for the construction on the new laundry and garage buildings.

Dormitory No. 1, a two story brick building, was constructed in 1901. Also known as the OLD MAINTENANCE BUILDING, it was the first building to be constructed after the State of Missouri obtained the property from the Women's Corp in 1897.

The OLD ADMINISTRATION BUILDING, was constructed circa 1901-1905. This two story brick building served administrative purposes for the Home until the early 1970's. In 1995, it was demolished to make way for the new Home.
