BUTTERFIELD OVERLAND MAIL
IN MISSOURI -- 1858-1861

Burns relay station. 40 miles from the Tipton Terminus, stood about 6½ miles south of Cole Camp in Benton County.

Erected by the State Historical Society of Missouri, 1958.
