Gilpin's Falls Covered Bridge MD44 |

Built c. 1860, the bridge is one of the few covered ones left in Maryland and the only one on public ground in Cecil County. The area to the east has been the site of several mills, the earliest, Samuel Gilpin's flour mill c. 1735.
Bridge restored 1959 through the joint effort of the state roads commission and the historical society of Cecil County. Led by Fletcher P. Williams, past president. Maryland Historical Society. no date 2 miles north of Exit 100 of I-95 Cecil County Maryland
