Two Miles West Site of battle fought Dec. 18, 1812, in which British-allied Miami Indians were defeated by U.S. troops and Militia under Col. John Campbell.

I believe this marker omits many key details of the actual events of this battle. To those who are unaware of the events of this battle it is misleading.
The continuation of the events on the following day will show ultimately that the militia were sent walking back to Ohio due to the fact that the natives had defeated them & run their horses over the cliffs at trails end onto the ice of the river below!
I think this marker has outlived it's time & should be replaced to convey the total facts of the events as they were instead of stating only a portion of them.
If we are going to tell history lets make it correct as well as complete!
